LBN All-Star Day was a blur!
We had a blast, and we hope all participants and everyone in attendance did, too.
Below you can find all the highlights, photos, and videos belonging to this unprecedented event.
Louis Fawl aka Smooth Criminal comes through and claims the first ever 3-Point King title in LBN history after scoring 21 in the first (splashed 11 in a row!) and 20 in the final round out of a possible 30.
The bilingual sniper Jeremiah Lejade of London 3nD finishes a close 2nd and the Lithuanian assassin Ligitas Kairys of Viesulas BC rounds off our top 3.
Louis is the current holder of the LBN record for most 3-pointers made in a game and all-time 3-pointers made.
The first ever LBN All-Star Game witnessed the best of the best square off in an instant classic.
After going down by 18, #TeamYST stormed back in the second half to tie the game at 81. However, the resilient #TeamRegal edged out their opponent with clutch plays down the stretch.
Final score: #TeamRegal 94 - 86 #TeamYST
Highest vote-getter in All-Star polls and Captain of #TeamRegal, he snatched the MVP trophy with a very quiet 20 points.
During our All-Star Day, we raised £200 to be equally distributed between Youth Sport Trust and Black Prince Trust (represented by The Regal).
The Youth Sport Trust is a children's charity working to ensure every child enjoys the life-changing benefits that come from play and sport. We have more than 20 years of expertise in pioneering new ways of using sport to improve children's wellbeing and give them a brighter future.
In partnership with its stakeholders, the Black Prince Trust co-ordinates a series of sessions and programmes for the community:
Free sports sessions for everyone: basketball, football, athletics and boxing sessions for everyone from age 8 to age 80.
Fight 4 Change: an initiative which provides boxing, martial arts and fitness training to support, mentor and progress marginalised young people and those at risk of offending in deprived communities.
Thank you everyone for your support and collaboration! See you next year.
